ezlead Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 They were putting their a&& on the line for this country. I think they could eat whatever they wanted. Bad career move to broadcast it,though. How many friggen politicians wanted souvenirs from those flights? Quote
Lexx_Luthor Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Oh I don't know. Young went on walkabout, so apparently it wasn't that bad a career move. The discussion is funny though, and it seems, indicates that the NASA rules for that time were there for a good reason. I'd guess though that NASA coulda shoulda relaxed the rules and worked with their crews to experiment with real foods. NASA should have known something like this would happen. Thanks for this Dave. +ST0RM Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Interesting bit Dave. Thanks for posting. Just one of the things about NASA and the early space pioneers, that most people never knew. -Jeff Quote
