pretty pissed if it was used to carry weapons? where does he think the money to support most technological growth comes from? sadly it's man's desire to more efficiently kill one another that spurs technology the furthest(trains, land based aircraft, nuclear power, and frozen concentrated orange juice for example)

I first heard of Cartercopter sometime in early 90's. IIRC the big selling point was to be much faster speeds than normal autogyros.

I'll believe it when I see production aircraft rolling off the line with reasonable cost and full certification.

It probably stands a better chance of doing so than the Moller Skycar which props up in media from time to time.
