Can't get OFF running on Windows 7

Recommended Posts

After upgrading my rig, I got Windows 7 (32 bit) now.

I just installed OFF and HitR (as Admin) in this order:

- BHaH

- Super Patch

- Mini Patch

- HitR

- HitR Update

But when I try to start the sim, all I get is this message popping up:

"Component 'wmp.dll' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered:

a file is missing or invalid"

Any ideas, why that is, anyone?

Hi Olham,

wmp.dll is the Windows Media Player (or a subroutine of it, more like). I'm no expert, but it seems that perhaps you copy is either corrupted or incomplete? I don't know if you can load it from your W7 media (DVD?) or whether you can download it from Mickeysoft's own site. No doubt somebody more knowledgeable will be along presently (I run XP).

Cheers,

Si

Thank you, Mighty, that makes sense.

Could be that my friend, who did the whole new setup for me, has dropped the Windows Media Player.

Maybe when I install it, it will run. Thank you.

There might be an option in the windows control panel called 'Turn Windows Features on or off'

Inside there there's a Windows Media Player option that needs to be turned on if it's off.

At least that was the answer in this issue:

Thank you, Mike, that did the trick!

Like always, when I get a new Windows, I turn into an apeman again.

Also not available here - Google/YouTube censorship is getting "better" :bomb:

For software running on Win7 (german) if you have professinal or ultimate version :
