Separate WOE Install - No Enemy Aircraft?

Recommended Posts

I recently did a separate install of WOE on a different hard drive, but removed all Soviet aircraft from the game as well as the Germany Terrain. I replaced them with soviet aircraft but with ME markings and data files indicating they are exported. However, in the game on create missions, I have no enemy aircraft to fight against. So far the nations only in use are Israel, USAF, USN, USMC, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Syria, and Jordan.

Is there something I need to do in order for enemy aircraft to show from these nations, or did the removal of all soviet aircraft & skins affect the game?

Hi Stig

Check the Terrain Folder you r'e using for entries such as the fallowing that causes what you 're experiencing. Example:

ISRAELME.INI containing the entry

LimitedNations=TRUE

[AllowedDates] <-------------limits Dates

StartDate=1948

EndDate=2050

Also Example ISRAELME_NATIONS.INI as fallows will limit allowed Nations.

I tried a different era and now I'm seeing Egyptian MIG-17s with red stars on them. Something is seriously goofy.

The aircrafts DATA.INI has the Nation at the top as you know, You should be able to have Export set there below it, but my experience with dates with Nations is screwy as i noticed that the top main Nation setting takes precedence as far as dates. Then make sure that

the UserList is correct and the Aircraft with correct nation markings should work.

no userlists in 1st Gens, though. yet another reason to move to sf2 -- makes life a lot simplier, in limited who gets to play where!

Soviets are not in my limited nation list. They are still showing up in my Israel 2 terrain. I have reinstalled this terrain several times to no avail. I am prepared to say screw this and just stick with regular WOE and fighting Ruskies and Chinese.
