DonL 0 Posted May 30, 2011 Very impressive looks like the original owner just took it off and hung it up. It said that he has owned this for 30 years I wonder how he found it? Also this is a really neat website did anyone see this? http://warrelics.eu/military_forum/incredible-ww1-ground-digged-find-german-helmets-gas-masks-44/ Thanks for posting this. RAF_Louvert 101 Posted May 30, 2011 . As the first poster said in that uniform thread, "There are times when "WOW" is the only thing I can think of to say!" Wouldn't you love to have that set on display in your flying room Olham! What a beauty. Also, thank you for the translation on the passport; very helpful. And thanks DonL for your link as well. Can't imagine digging into the ground and finding such a cache of items, grizzly as some of them may be. .
Olham 164 Posted May 30, 2011 That is a strangely touching find - thanks for posting, DonL. After all those years, there is still even some camo painting on some helmets. Grizzly indeed!
DonL 0 Posted May 30, 2011 Grizzly, did I miss something? Was it a war grave, I thought it was just a dump that someone discovered.
