AntEater Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 After half a year of no SF2 activity, I installed the latest patches. After trying out my heavily modded 1986 campaign, I came across a weird bug. Most modern ordnance isn't there anymore! I had a huge collection of various modern weapons, mostly from NF4 and manually installed from various weapons packs, but both these and the standard modern AAMs etc are gone from the campaign. Everything works just fine in single missions, so it has to be a campaign issue. Any ideas? Quote
MigBuster Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Campaigns usually have limited weapons (if you select Limited)- if you look in the campaigns data.ini see if each squadron has a defined set of weapons. Quote
AntEater Posted June 27, 2011 Author Posted June 27, 2011 (edited) Sadly this wasn't the cause. I only get 1950s style weapons (AIM-9B etc) for the 1986 campaign. 1979 works fine Edited June 27, 2011 by AntEater Quote

AntEater Posted June 28, 2011 Author Posted June 28, 2011 Happens with all nations, first noticed it as a soviet, but the problem persists with USAF as well. I think it is a date issue as well. Did the new patch introduce some sort of time cap somewhere? Because it seems to me that only the weapons with the earliest start dates are available. Maybe 1986 is outside the range of allowed campaigns, and is there some way to change that? Quote
MigBuster Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 You shouldnt have to - and other would have noticed by now. Are the weapons in question in your weapons folder in the SF2 plug and play format, or are they still just in Weapons as a mess of files? Can you also check all the dates in the campaigns data.ini file Quote
AntEater Posted June 28, 2011 Author Posted June 28, 2011 Hehe, found the problem. What a no brainer. The campaign was originally campaigne4 with NATO fighters 4. With the expansion pack 2, campaigne4 was occupied by the 1956 campaign. I renamed the 1986 dir to campaigne5, but forgot to change the campaigne4.ini file to point to campaigne5_data.ini So I got the 1956 ordnance :D Quote
