Hey guys! its me....AGAIN! lol!

I have a quick question! is there a way to use the Aphid's dual launch racks (The angled small ones) with other IRM's?

There's a few planes that could use that type of rack to prevent clipping!

Thanks again!drinks.gif

Yep, but you have to change the loadout.ini for the aircraft to use the dual IR rack specifically. You're talking about the APU62 dual IR rack, or whatever it's name is, yeah?

Example:

Loadout[01].WeaponType=AAM-3

Loadout[01].Quantity=1

Loadout[01].Racktype=APU Dual IR <<---That's just the name I use for my additional entry for the rack.

(example loadout, Type 96 Fishbed, IAF)

[AirToAir]

Loadout[01].WeaponType=AA-8

Loadout[01].Quantity=2

Loadout[01].RackType=APU-62L

Loadout[02].WeaponType=AA-8

Loadout[02].Quantity=2

Loadout[02].RackType=APU-62R

Loadout[03].WeaponType=AA-2D

Loadout[03].Quantity=1

Loadout[04].WeaponType=AA-2D

Loadout[04].Quantity=1

Loadout[05].WeaponType=Tank490_MiG21

Loadout[05].Quantity=1

don't forget the weapons stations, in the data ini, will need the "2IR" code

IIRC there are also restrictions regarding the length and diameter which weapons can be loaded to a specifc station...tweaking the loadout.ini might work, but to be sure the [aircraft]_data.ini would have to be checked as well.

Yeah, but that shouldn't affect the use of the APU rack or R-60s as there's not much in the way of ordinance that's smaller, and certainly now IRMs that are.
