changing aircraft to different sims

Hi,

I have noticed that aircraft made for one sim will not show up if i try to use them in another sim. example aircraft made for WOE might not show up if you install it in SF.

Is there a way around this? Changes in data configuration settings?

They're all compatible from one title to another (though not necessarily from one series to another). It sounds as if you're missing crucial items, such as the .lod files, which must be extracted from the object.cat file and placed in that aircraft model's folder (that is, if said aircraft is not "native" to that sim).

If you only copy the aircraft folders of stock aircrafts from one sim to an other it will not work. There you need a little bit more.

But all modder made planes you can use in all sims of the same generation. SFP1, WOV, WOE, WOI planes are compatible.
