is this possible?

Reason being.. 70 Sqn RFC starts as bomber for the battle of the Somme.

In did such work, but as it was the only aircraft in the RFC that could fire through the airscrew at that time

it was mostly detailed to act as scout/escourts. It was policy that ALL aircraft carry two bombs to drop on targets

of oppertunity, more to force the pilots over the lines!, so 70 Sqn would also be doing this too.

We are working on that for P4 right now. You will see squadron roles and mission types change and evolve as the war progresses, just as they did historically.

BTW your bomb loadout is always configurable on craft that carried bombs. If you want to fly with bombs then choose them in the loadout box (bottom right in the mission briefing screen in campaign). i.e. you can choose to always take some with you.

Some craft you cannot use of course, but most 2 seaters and some allied fighters have the choice (Se5a for example), rockets on some others.
