Runway numbers..?

It is just me..or are the runways labeled wrong (at least in the case of two airfields so far that I've seen in the Israel theater)..?

 

This runway should be labeled "18"

It's there to confuse you... makes you think your flying the wrong way...

 

Interesting as I must admit sometimes I am just happy to see an Airstrip in front of me...

Are all runways aligned north/south.. I haven't done much exploring yet..

It's all moddable in the terrain_targets.ini. Can't say if they're realistically placed/aligned in Stock Israel, but looking through the file, they have various alignments..

since the numbers on the runways are not dynamic and TK has limited numbers of texture in there, you'll see many of them with wrong paints..

 

I've gone the long way to align most of them correctly in Anatolia but never messed with the numbering on the runways

Never seen 09/27, or others (03/21...)

It doesn't matter until you notice it, but it looks really wrong after.

Yes, it's a metric heading. One must use a metric compass in that situation....one that's been adjusted and precision-tuned by a series of well placed blows delivered by a metric hammer...
