Shiloh 12 Posted August 31, 2011 (edited) Thank you Herr Prop-Wasche. My house is fine thank goodness but some of my neighbors sustained some serious damage. The businesses in our community have suffered some setbacks and our two bridges still need to be tested for structural stability before they are re-opened again. One of them is a very famous tourist bridge as we rely heavily on tourism for income so hopefully that reopens soon. In Vermont they face some dire situations. There is one OFF member situated there (russll14) and I'm not sure if he's active here. There aren't many roads there as everything is much more rural and in many cases people are cut off from civilization with no power, no drinking water and no way out through roads as they were washed out. This storm will take many years for New Englanders to recover from and it was not what our country needed with the serious recession we are currently facing.
