macelena Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I´m used to make a lot of night strikes from A-6s, but there is a trouble, that being the canopy. For an all weather bomber, it looks like sunglasses. Indeed, it is pretty hard to see anything out, specially at night. Night carrier landings take 4 or five approaches, and i still fail miserably many times, either striking the ramp or running overboard. Low level navigation is almost completely instrumental, and weapons delivery...well, i had to do with SnakeEyes until i tuned it up with CCIP. Is there a way to alter the canopy so the windshield isn´t as dark as a RayBans? Thanks a lot Quote
Bossco82 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 You can open the .tga for the canopy in something like photoshop and lighten the shade or increase its opacity. Quote
+streakeagle Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 If you delete the tga, it will be perfectly transparent... no reflections of any kind either. Quote
malibu43 Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I forget what the .ini entries were and where they go exactly, but you can use the "move" trick to move the colored HUD glass so it's no longer visible. Take a look at the cockpit.ini files for the A-6 in the A&G XP. They have the edits you are looking for. Quote
