Nbryant asked me in the "Screenshots" thread, why I don't make more "Allied" skins.

Well, I don't fly Entente very much, simply because they don't offer any Albatros.

But I remembered a SPAD XIII skin for Esc.48 which I had made long ago.

I had actually thought I had uploaded it back then - but I hadn't.

Well, now I have.

This is a fabric new (pretty clean) SPAD, with all emblems freshly painted on to.

So, this skin may disappoint all fans of heavy weathering.

Widowmaker - know what I mean? Nudge, nudge?

Or perhaps you make your weathering on top of it?

However - this skin was made of an OBD skin (Sandbagger's?), so thank you guys

for all the amazing wonderful lots of skins you have created!

Well, we are flying a WW1 simulation - so we have to make do with some limitations.

Still, we are much better off than the flyers back then - we don't burn, when we're shot down in flames.

If I ever learn how to energy dogfight instead of turn fighting, I may have to give that one a go. Very nice. It almost looked like a Vintage Aviator picture at first.

Besides, ALL the paint jobs were new at some point. I don't think that the aircraft came pre-weathered from the factory.

Gee, what BIG compliments, Widowmaker and Jarhead! Thank you both! :drinks:

I like it too

Very impressive! The SPAD is a bitch to skin due to its incredible number of ribs everwhere, plus various details requiring delicate work. You managed it extremely well :drinks:

I only made an OFF skin more colourful basicly, and added the emblem, which I had found a graphic of in the web.

It is all a bit too dynamic and saturised in the colours, but I wanted exactly that.

But almost all of this skin was already there (done by Sandbagger, I guess) - I only sent it through the car wash.

No, wait, SPAD-wash.
