Olham 164 Posted April 27, 2012 Many aircraft went down in far out terrain, like the Lockheed Lightning "Glacier Girl", which landed on ice and snow in Greenland; or the Consolidated "Liberator", which had flown 400 mile out into the desert, where it crashlanded. Hasse Wind 46 Posted April 27, 2012 There are quite a few crashed German and Soviet aircraft (or what's left of them) in the area close to the Barents Sea in Finland, Norway and the Kola Peninsula in Russia.
