Nobody will search for a misstake, or a wrong Antena. Its stands in the credits that this is "just" a "mod" of TK`s MiG-21MF, so all should be clear :biggrin:

I hope you guys will enjoy this mod and have fun flying around Taiwan and China. If someone feels he wants to create a proper J-7III pls, go ahead and post tons of pics. Im very interested in the Mig-21 family!!! I think some people are also very interested in this thing.

So far, have a nice weekend all

Ok small update:

-The cockpit will stay the same as the MF one, only HUD is added to the avionics, if someone wants to try out to find the "parts" name to remove the projector ( no idea how its caled) in the cockpit, pls go ahead.

-Skins will be made by Soulfreak (cant wait to test them )

Hello,

the link is great! I tried it and used the mentioned ini edits:

Instrument[120]=DeleteCamera

[DeleteCamera]

Type=ACCELEROMETER

NodeName=Camara

MovementType=Light

Set[01].Position=0.0

Set[01].Value=-20.0

Set[02].Position=0.0

Set[02].Value=20.0

But the Cam is still visible there?!

try this instead.....

Instrument[120]=Move1

[Move1]

Type=AIRSPEED_INDICATOR

NodeName=Camera

MovementType=POSITION_Z

Set[01].Position=-100

Set[01].Value=0.0

Set[02].Position=-99

Set[02].Value=1.0

Sorry to say, but that doesnt work either. Have send you the current files, to cross check it. The new skins from soulfreak arent ready yet. The 720L Tank will be integrated later.

I have copied and paste it, but it doesnt want to work.

in SF2 series, we have a INACTIVE function to hide mesh in cockpits..

e.g.

Instrument[120]=Move1

[Move1]

Type=INACTIVE

NodeName=Camera

thats all

just needs the correct mesh name and next Instrument number ...

also to remember, the LOD is not in Engilsh... it's Spanish, so the node name must be in the correct language

of course, that dosen't explain why no avionics70 HUD bits show up...

"Camara"

I assume this the final result we want?

I "cheated" on the avionics ini; "borrowed" it from my Panama Mirage III...not perfect, but everything works (Search, SST, ACM, GM)

there's no RWR gauge..if I can figure out what dial is what;, maybe reprupose one of those 2 on the left (on the front frame) to a 3ring or even TEWS

this screenie is NOT the aircraft you sent me, but one I built a few weeks back when the thread was started; different skin (newest), newst data ini as well

edit: forgot picture!

Thanks Kevin

If you dont mind I would like to borrow your data for the my mod.

To do list would look like:

- implement avionics

- integrate 720L Tank

- delete Camara

Than I would wait for Carlos skins (4 in all) and than it should be ready. J-7III and J-7III A

I would be more than happy to send over the entire bird!!

the avionics ini makes use of bits from the A-7E (iirc), all parts sould be available in a full-4 merged install (and most definatly work in a full-5 one, too. Like mine! :biggrin:

one other thing I need to check is if the HUD is reading metric or american (speed in kmph, alt in KM) ... should be fairly easy to determine
