Bat 21 display with LTC Iceal E. "Gene" Hambleton

 

 

The tail serial of the lead B-52 to lead Linebacker. Next to it some gear and part of an ejection seat of Brass 02 (B-52G) which was shot down by 2 SAM's. The crew was rescued.

How did the B-52 tail gunsite work? Was it optical or radar or a combination?
