IamFritz Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Is this my first post? I think so. So I was Google-browsing SF screenies, and found some incredible shots of a SF1 terrain called "AmericanNW" and "SouthernCal". The link to the AmericanNW was broken (it was external from Combatace.com). So I'd like to see if it's out there anywhere, and would it (they) be compatible with SF2? Here's the link I found: http://combatace.com/topic/2504-question-about-terrains/ Any info or hints would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Fritz Quote

Wrench Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 (edited) Moved to the Correct Forum ---------- all 1stGen Terrains are easily converted for SF2 usage as per our unused Knowledge Base: http://combatace.com/topic/54856-converting-sfwo-terrains-to-sf2-usage/ ANW can be found the SF/Wo* (aka 1stGen) Terrain downloads. Its a full-4 season terrain. READ THE ENCLOSED READ ME that comes with it. Edited June 25, 2013 by Wrench 1 Quote
Romflyer Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Hey Fritz welcome to Combat Ace, ANW is still one of my favourite sceneries for SF2. There is a bit of messing around with to get it running properly in SF2.....a little ways back I had made a modern-ish campaign for the scenery http://combatace.com/files/file/12556-operation-great-white-north/ the campaign works OK but a few of the planes are outdated now (F-16, CF-18) there are much newer and better versions now available. The reason I point out this campaign is that it comes with the DESERT_AIRFIELD1-6.ini's which are required to run the scenery correctly in SF2, and directions to adjust the environmentsystem which is also required to get it running properly......the PDF readme has links to everything needed (including the scenery itself) Hope it helps. Romflyer I have thete something in work with new titles by Stary, new airbases etc. but still a long way to go.... EDIT: BTW, check the forums where you wanna post something. ;-) Please tell us more.....any chance we can get some water added? Quote
+Soulfreak Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Not from me, i only play around with the bases and other easy stuff.... Quote
Wrench Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I started adding water a looooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago; Salmon river, 'thunder bay'., etc. Gave it up 3-4 years ago. but I can't make the 4 season tiles that match well. Also, a LOT of height field adjustments will be necessary, expecially in the lower left corner, where the bay is. might have a re-look at it, after finished the ww2 PI 44 map 1 Quote
jeanba Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 I started adding water a looooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago; Salmon river, 'thunder bay'., etc. Do you model the salmons as ground targets ? Quote
