RAF_Louvert 101 Posted July 14, 2013 . Greetings All, On eBay there is currently a listing for the massive work by Durkota, Darcey, and Kulikov, "The Imperial Russian Air Service: Famous Pilots and AIrcraft of World War I". This is an absolute must have for anyone interested in this theatre of the Great Air War. Three days left on the listing and no bids as of yet, and a starting price of only $15.50 US dollars, (and $4.00 shipping in the US which I can't imagine will cover the actual shipping cost of this tome). This outstanding volume originally sold for over a C-note when it was first published in 1995. Here is the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Imperial-Russian-Air-Service-Famous-Pilots-And-Aircraft-Of-World-War-I-/310683093269?pt=US_Nonfiction_Book&hash=item485627c915#ht_188wt_1141 Happy bidding and good luck to any of you wanting to claim this definitive work for their personal library. Cheers! Lou .
Panama Red 22 Posted July 14, 2013 I have this book and you are correct, $15.50 is a real steal since I paid about $100 for one years ago.
RAF_Louvert 101 Posted July 14, 2013 . I have this book as well PR and can't recommend it enough. An outstanding reference source, and if you keep it by your bed you can use it to cold-cock any would-be intruders. Swung properly it would likely break their neck. .
