you two might want to check out Harry Turtledoves latest series, about what if Hitler kicked off WWII in september of 38 rather than 39. many possibilities for you Spinners, and the Spanish Civil War is a major plotline as well. Marshall Sanjuro is still alive in this series and in the last book released Franco got shot by a Czech sniper with a 37mm antitank gun!!
