Chutedangle Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 I am new to SF2-Israel and have just added the F15C to my planes. I was surprised to see a set of legs hanging from the bottom of the plane. The pilot is actually where he should be and that all seems to be working fine. I have checked the KB and done a search but could find nothing that seemed to help. Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this little problem? Thanks...
+daddyairplanes Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 yes, instruct your pilot on proper procedure for entering the cockpit. oooor check your Pilots folder to see if you have a fakepilot object in there. haven't used the C model as its at the outer edge of my preferred era of flying in a while, but i do believe that is the issue
+Wrench Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 (edited) not so much missing the 'fake pilot', but missing his "seat" the object that is replaced by the pilot dangling is what's not there. Look in the data ini, usually in the //Crew section, for something like this (it may not be labeled like I do, but you'll get the idea.: //fake-pilot for pylons// [CenterPylon]SystemType=Pilot_CockpitPosition=0.0,0.0,0.0PILOTMODELNAME=FakePilotSeatModelName=T-28_PylonL <--- whatever the 'seat' is, is the item you're missing. it'll be listed hereSeatPosition=0.0,0.367,-0.685SeatID=2 then, look in the /Pilots folder for the item. It it's not here, that's why. We'll need to know the name of the item, and then it's pretty easy to locate it. Edited April 8, 2014 by Wrench
Chutedangle Posted April 8, 2014 Author Posted April 8, 2014 Thanks for the replys. Wrench, thanks for the explanation. I will give that a try, sounds like you have experience with this problem. Thanks again.
+Wrench Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 and LOTS of experience in ADDING them, too! the statement above comes from the Fw-190s, that don't have pylons. Those may not be fully (ok, aren't!) correct, but they work, and give the drop tanks and bombs something to hang from
