Hi!!! I would like to increase the catapult power of aircraft carriers. I was trying with the LHA Tarawa, as my Harriers do not gain enough speed and I end up in the water. Taking a look at the DATA.ini, I found this:

[Cat1]
SystemType=CATAPULT
CatapultID=1
StartPosition=-7.15,-10.0,16.70
EndPosition=-7.15,-10.0,16.70
LaunchTime=0.1
LaunchEffect=
CatapultEffect=
ReadyAnimationID=
ReadyAnimationTime=

What entry should I modify??

                       Thanks!!!!

How are you taking off with the harrier? Are you vectoring the jet's nozzles properly? Try a lighter load.

With sky jump i believe that its correct, but with flat deck like Tarawa maybe lighter loadout

Even with the ski jump UK carriers use full flaps and nozzles are vectored down about 1/4 the way towards vertical thrust as your airspeed gets to 150kts you can start to vector to horizontal thrust.

Ignacio,

The catapult end points can be adjusted to simulate VTOL quite easily, as evidenced by this video that I created a couple of years ago:

Yak VTO
