Starting on the Peanut scheme.  Normally I'd go into Modelviewer but I felt like starting it out the "old school" way...

More tweaking... getting the shapes down a bit:

More work, this time extending down the fuselage... I found some "unmarked" mapping areas so I did the best I could since the holes in the airframe were just... there, so I just left the default color (may just make them brown so it doesn't clash with the brown:

More work... getting the wings touched up, which is far different now as I'm along the wing more and need to tweak the fuselage more.

All is left is some more tweaking but overall the skin as such is "complete"

Of note when adding the unit markings (417th FS, 419th Wing) is that the only thing that's solid among the various references is the aircraft serial number, and the hog's head (which yes will be added later on tonight but I do need a break) decals as well.  I found a good decal image so will use that and get that applied to the nose.  One reference image also has tail markings as well as "BD", which to me seems the most accurate image to work off of so I will go off of that and apply it but thankfully the camo is fairly set right in my opinion.

And the requisite Hog Head...

I've actually gotten other unit markings and once I get done posting this will show a good shot of the aircraft "complete"

Even though the camo was never adopted I gave it some treatment with the default weathering, adjusted to suit the colors better.

It does but most of the time they're so high up that the two-tone grey actually works, and besides it's better when they come down... BRRRRRT

I don't think I'll be breaking old NDAs if I release this.... I don't think....

It's the old USMC skin adapted for BS2 so it should be okay.  Anyway I'm going to put some basic Marine stuff on it, and possibly the shark mouth, would look good on this.

Some weathering and basic detailing with an old shark mouth.

Also took the USMC skin out for an environment check, and also added some stuff, faint because of the coloring and increased the opacity of the default weathering:

I'm also planning on subduing the shark mouth a bit more, and figuring out which HMLA the Ace of Spades insignia is from, and going to move the "MARINES" from under the tailplane more towards the cockpit but looking at a few AH-1Ws as that would be more correct, though due to the way the whole helicopter is I put the stars and bars on the engine cowlings rather than near the cockpit.

Managed to adjust the lighting in ModelViewer to show the changed stuff, recolored the Shark mouth and moved the "MARINES" around:

Well a little research and I figure it was an HMLA-167 bird, so I was able to put an Ace of Spades just aft of the cockpit proper and just need to add the tailcode and it'll be ready to go:

And needless to say a fixed and adjusted version is uploaded in the Files section:

That is an interesting scheme for the Blackshark. I love that low vis grey.

It was one of the original Fictional schemes for the original Black Shark as BS2 doesn't have it anymore, and wanted to get it updated for the newer file structure, work off some rust, etc.  I know I want to get back into Hog skins, just haven't figured which one yet.

I figured if I can put it on Super Hornets I can at least bother with the real aircraft anyway, unless they still use As?
