Skyviper 1,101 Posted January 26, 2015 Hey I was surfing the Steam Greenlight pages and came across this game and wanted to know what you guys think about it. Because I really enjoy playing games like Mass Effect I'm on the hunt for a decenet space game and I think a few of yous guys are into the space sims as well which is why I thougth some of you might like to see this. To me it looks like the kind of casual game that one should have on hand. Nothing too light, nothing too time consuming, just something fun to have around. Skyviper 1,101 Posted January 26, 2015 My work filter unfortunately blocked the link. I'll check it out when I get home. What's it called? It's called Into the Stars. It's a Debut project by Fugitive Games ... here's a quote from their page. Fugitive Games is comprised of crafty veterans on the run from traditional development at places like DICE, Capcom and SCEA to build games that focus on fun and community first. We've worked on a range of products from heavy hitters like Battlefield, Medal of Honor and Lost Planet to cult hits such as Shadows of the Damned and MAG. Oh and the music is scored by the dude that did the music for Mass Effect It looks like it might be ok. Yeah it has that certain something to keep me interested but its like something is missing that's not making me fall in love with it right away. If the price is right I'll give it a shot. MrGoTime 20 Posted January 26, 2015 Shoot, I pulled it up on my phone and I think it looks pretty cool. It does seem a little...cheap maybe. You're right, there's something there that keeps me from falling for it. Personally, I think it's the whole "last survivor dying race" thing. I like being part of the team. Does that make sense? I like games that make me feel like I'm just a small part of a big mechanism. I don't always love being the "hero". That said, I did really REALLY like the Mass Effect series. And for this one, depending on it's entry price point, I think I'm interested enough to check it out.
