Engine Smoke, turning it off and on?

Anyone know the setting to get engine smoke?

The effect is either always on, or is turned off by switching at AB, or cutting the engine off.  It is possible to add additional (fake) engines and link effects to them, but one is still limited to the parameters that I mentioned before.

afterburner effect in the engines in data.ini...there is a clear exhaust emitter if u require

You can get rid of engine smoke if you delete the effect in data.ini. Just leave it blank.
