Rends Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Hi, I will build a new PC in the next days and wonder if it is possible to move (copy) the game to the new PC without reinstalling all the mods i added in the past? Rends Quote
Wrench Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 good to see you again, Rends! IIRC, you may have to run the installers for the main games themselves, any dlcs and so forth, and build the 'base' mods folders. But after that, you should be able to just copy/paste the (same named) mods folders directly over the new ones. I had to do something similar when I had an HD crash a couple of years ago. Quote
Rends Posted August 12, 2015 Author Posted August 12, 2015 Thx! Great to hear that it can be done. Rends Quote
Wrench Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 forgot to mention, use only the newly created Options and Version inis. Don't reuse the older, "original" ones. Just as a safety measure. Quote
Rends Posted August 13, 2015 Author Posted August 13, 2015 Ok, Thx Wrench. I will keep that in mind. Rends Quote
+yakarov79 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Before copying your own mod folders, run evry fresh and virgin single game (5 merged instal - every single one). I was reinstaling system 2 weeks ago - I forgot and game overwrote some files from moded stock aircrafts, Quote
Wrench Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Indeed! Run ALL the games first, after installing. Then you copy over the mods folders. Quote
