I have been there....done that. Growing up in SW Michigan, the Museum of Science and Industry was only a stones throw away. I've been inside this sub many times, and it's always an adventure each time. I'm glad that they've finally put a building over it....it was very much needed.

Been thinking about doing a road trip to Chitown to take my daughter to the museums...now's the time to go. :yes:

 

My parents took me to all the museums there when I was a kid, and I've also been through the U-505 a couple times in the late 70s.

If you live in Va and its a short drive to DC - I bet you can find a cheap plane ticket to Chi-town to see it!
