swell Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Hello, I know that some people in this forum did manage to install sucessfully, YAP3 on SF2. Im trying too but I need some help if you can, On Da Nang airbase the ramp on the other side of the airbase never shows, the buildings, the hangars, the rivets are there, but the floor isn´t.?!! I try to isolate the problem via targets.ini and types.ini and the problem seems to be with the TargetType ramp, which is conected with the ground_platte3.lod [TargetType230] Name=Ramp FullName=Parking Ramp ModelName=ground_platte3.lod TargetType=MISC ActiveYear=0 TargetValue=1000 UseGroundObject=FALSE DamagePoint=140.0 ArmorValue=0.0 ArmorType=0 RepairRate=10.0 StartDetectChance=100 StartIdentifiedChance=50 IncreaseDetectChanceKey=10 MaxVisibleDist=30000.0 ZBufferOffset=6.000000 FlatObject=TRUE DamagedModel= DestroyedEffect= DestroyedModel= SecondaryChance=0 Anybody knows why this target appears on WOV a don´t on SF2?!? Thanks to all Quote
+Soulfreak Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 You have to add every object to the types.ini of the terrain where you want to add the target area. Check Knowledgebase for deeper Informations. Quote
swell Posted February 1, 2016 Author Posted February 1, 2016 Thanks 7eleven! Yes I already did that and already check if ground_platte3.lod is in the terrain...but no joy :( It´s possible that SF2 reads ground_platte3.lod in a diferent way than WOV?? Quote
stuntman Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Weird. I have to check, but I think there is no issue on my WAP SF2 install. I'll let you know Quote
stuntman Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 (edited) Weird. I have to check, but I think there is no issue on my WAP SF2 install. I'll let you know Ok, so it looks alright on my install, as well as in Target Area Editor (a great tool by Mue: http://combatace.com/topic/85827-wip-target-area-editor ). Download this tool here in combatace, open your vietnamSEA.ini file, and look for Da Nang air base in the upper left panel. See if Da Nang looks as it should be. Also, in your target.ini file, look for: [TargetArea091] Name=Da Nang Air Base under the mention Target[269], you should find this: Target[269].Type=Ramp Target[269].Offset=-500.00,310.00 Target[269].Heading=90 PS: also, i'll send you via PM my vietnamDATA.ini. Make a backup of your file, try mine and see if this change anything, just in case...Beware that I am using a bunch of files from stary's tiles, so you might miss a few TGAs Edited February 1, 2016 by stuntman Quote
swell Posted February 2, 2016 Author Posted February 2, 2016 Thanks stuntman and thanks to all, After much trial and error, following your advices I found out that in my Target.ini there was two entries for the ramp object. I delete the one that not belong to the ground_platte3.lod and the scenery shows completed. Now I,m on the phase of populating Da Nang Airbase with ground crews, Any advise?? Quote
Wrench Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 well, since it's a payware mod ... one must be VERY carefull. They defend they're copyrights/property strongly. Inis can be uploaded, if that's the point of the exercise, but no other parts. One must be VERY carefull with "property rights" when modding any payware item Quote
