Video Comparison Between American and Russian Fighter Aircraft ... thoughts?

While I value practical raw effectiveness, I can understand both viewpoint... after all, I think it is still the pilot who counts the most.

Yep a good plane isn't good if someone can't fly it right.

Both finesse and functionality have their place, and I think the Russians do a great job of balancing those factors. That being said, I agree that without a good pilot, any aircraft is just a 1g strafe target.

I know this is off topic. But Nightshade I just want you to know that every post you make I hear in the voice of Captain Ben Sisko. I'm not sure if I said this before or not. But dang it. Your posts are the only poss that has this effect. Seriously I hear his voice saying everything you write. Articulating ever-y syllable.

 

Back on topic. I too like how the Russian's do some things not all things but some things. I love their Mi-24 that's just a cool bird too though not a fighter aircraft. It's still cool.
