Problems with SF1

Hi guys,

 

   So my SF 1 was working great...until I decided to download the SF service pack, now it keeps crashing every time I try to select OPTIONS. I've removed and reloaded the game twice and the same thing keeps happening. Frustration day for me....I hate Gremlins. Any ideas?

Which service pack version exactly?

 

Do you remember what version the game was at by default before you tried the install?

Better to upgrade to SF 2 standard as SF 1 is getting old and I am noticing more problems with my existing SF 1 game after I upgraded to Windows 8.1. 

 

Try applying different service packs in the Troubleshooter section of Windows. I did this and found that my SF 1 game was eventually reasonably stable and playable.

I keep a windows xp computer running for SF1.I DON'T go on line with it! that's the way i keep sf1 working

The version says V12.25.03

Ok, so I completely removed the version from the computer and installed it to an external storage drive and so far the game is working well.
