kind of a "techie" question

I have a new gaming system and i'm using HDMi for a 2560x1900 monitor.

 

Would i see any difference if i used Display Port instead of HDMI

Digital is digital, whether it's HDMI, Display port, or DVI.  IIRC, HDMI is the only one that carries sound channels.

Display Port does support integrated sound (multi channel) though really cant see any benefit over HDMi at that res........it does claim to be better performing but like anything you don't know until you use it and then its often no better.

Really?  I have to try this on my laptop at work.  Since I work the night shift, it's not like I'd be bothering anyone :D
