Greetings, complete rookie pilot here.  I recently acquired SF2V, and am enjoying the heck out of it, but really wanted to expand my experience.  I saw the wonderful SF2V AG Exp mod, but the most recent version requires SF2 and SF2:E to function.  Is there any chance I can get the older SF2V Air & Ground War Expansion Pack v2.0 to work with SV2:V is patched to Jul 2013 (since it's a new download) or is it a Dec 2009 or earlier ONLY deal?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The SF2V expansion Pack will work with the latest patch level, provided you also install the cumulative patch for the Expansion Pack:

You will need SF2, SF2E, and SF2V installed in a merged install. And please pay careful attention to the installation instructions in the ReadMe -- both for the base package and the cumulative update.

Thanks for the info, but buying two more games was what I was trying to avoid.  I was hoping I could get the older version (compatible with Dec 09 and earlier patches) up and running with just SF2:V.  I'll eventually get the other titles, but just wanted to get the most out Vietnam first.  The campaign needs a bit more variety, especially in target types (I keep bombing the same bridge or warehouse it seems).

The 2009 version simply will not work with the later patch levels. To use the 2009 version you will need the Dec2009 version of SF2V or earlier. And you will need SF2 and SF2E, else you will be missing aircraft.

Thanks again for the info.  I'll definitely be installing the mod when I get around to picking up the the other games.  And thanks for adding so much to the game.
