Trying to use Cat extractor

I am trying to use the Cat Extractor that was downloaded from here.

It is the one provided in Mues Toolbox   -  http://combatace.com...2-mues-toolbox/

 

I have pointed the cat extractor to the where the game is C:/Users/user/Saved Games/ThirdWire/StrikeFighters2 Vietnam

 

However no files appear in the cat extractor.

 

I want to open the Hudata.ini so that I can modify the setting so that I don't have the radar window on the top right of the page.

 

Is this the right way to do it ?

because there AREN'T any cat files in the mods folder.

 

they're in the "core install"

Ahh,,,thank-you Wrench...

Now that I got the file, and made the changes, do save it back to the core install on my D drive or to the mod folder that is on my C drive

no, you put it in the mods folder, most likely in the /Flight folder. Which probably dosen't exist in "stock unmodded installs", so you'll have to make one

 

Isn't this covered in the knowledge base, someplace??? About extracting files, and where to put them once extracted for use??
