+Eagle114th Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Hello everyone, I have been working on expanding Veltro2k's Bell XF-109 (http://combatace.com/topic/74077-bell-xf-109/) to have afterburner in each of XF-109's rotating engines. I have been trying everything to solve the strange side effects after adding afterburners. Here is screenshots: XF-109 flying with engines on level: XF-109 engine rotating to 45 degree down: XF-109 engine rotating to straight down: When XF-109 engine rotates, both smoke and afterburner effect moved out of engine's nozzles. I am still scratching my head after many attempts to correct it. So I am wondering if anyone had similar experiences when modding their add-on aircraft with vector thrust and engine effects (smoke and/or afterburner). Quote
+logan4 Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 I would say, probably the engine components were mirrored and the axis of the upper part was not reset to world alignment. The other thing is, the trust vector control swivels the exhaust from the center point of the engine afterburner mesh thus it will always tilt away with that long rotation arm. Not likely that you can get around it without adjusting the source file and reexporting the lod. Quote
Snailman Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Please check the Yak-41M from Vertical Pack, it has rotating afterburner effects. Contact me i you have probs. Quote
Wrench Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 you're also lacking the update pack: http://combatace.com/files/file/13176-f-109-tweeks-pak-for-sf2/ I wouldn't worry about the burners, really. As is stated in the original announcment thread, the MAX files no longer exist. I'd just leave things alone Quote
