crobu Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 Hello. After a good install of SFP1/Wings over Europe under W7 64 ( patch WOE_Update_Oct2008.exe and SFP_WOE_Weapon_Pack-25-01-09.exe) the game works fine. No problems when I add aircrafts using *.exe files (Mirage Factory). Unfortunately, as I tried to install aircrafts using *.zip files the planes were ok but my Weapon Editor (v. 042406) cleaned all the weapons (i made a backup of weapondata.ini and weapondata.dat and restored). Here the instructions i followed: 1) Open WoE/Objects/Weapons/WEAPONDATA.ini in notepad. 2) Copy text from weapons.txt in this pack to the end of WEAPONDATA.ini. 3) Correct [WeaponDataxxx] -> xxx for next numbers in list. 4) save WEAPONDATA.ini. 5) delete WoE/Objects/Weapons/WEAPONDATA.DAT file. 6) Run WeaponEditor, open WoE/Objects/Weapons/WEAPONDATA.ini and save it. This will generate new WEAPONDATA.DAT file. Where's my mistake? Can anybody Help me? Quote
krfrge Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 crobu, I'm guessing you tried to add additional weapons to your original WoE install. What I typically do is open the original WEAPONDATA.ini; select the import function and "import" the weapons; what you should see is all the new weapons located at the bottom of the list in the weapon editor window pane' I then double click on any weapon from the list; and with the new weapon open, click save and then save again in the weapon editor. That Creates a new WEAPONDATA.DAT file. I then close the editor and start the game and choose the new weapons I added. Quote
crobu Posted June 10, 2017 Author Posted June 10, 2017 Problem solved. Your "how to" have been very helpful to me, but the problem was another one. It was between my chair and my keyboard (i.e. my person). I should have used the weapon editor v. 022008 istead of v. 042406. Thank you. Quote
