I just saw the preview. Looks very interesting to me. What about you? Based on your experience with seeing movies like this from these studios, do you think it will be good?

Dunno. I see that it's based on a non-fiction book, which is a good start, but from the trailer, it looks a bit tightly-wrapped for my taste, and perhaps a tad self-indulgent or heavy-handed, a war film child of our times.

It just goes to show that no matter how brave you are or you appear to be,  deep down inside we are all human and can be hurt or harmed by traumatic events like war and conflict and seeing your comrades die in front of you.

 

I can't tell you how many times I have read about people who were hailed as heroes on the battlefield and returned home to a fanfare of applause yet were completely changed and traumatised by what they had gone through. Even the hardest men who are giants on the battlefield and lions of war can be emotionally and mentally broken.
