UllyB Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 I own their first game, LOCK-ON, which I found it very hard to manage. I kept an eye on their work , but I can't understand why are these insane prices. 60 euros for just one plane ??? With 60 euros you can buy a AAA game. True , they look like real thing, cockpits are truly fantastic, but I will never give 60 euros for just one plane. It's a shame, I would have given it a try to this sim, maybe in another life. Quote
+baffmeister Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Everything about this flight sim seems to be "high end." You need a high end computer to run it, probably a high end control system to enjoy it, and from what I've read the development costs are high end as well. Something like $100,00.00 US to develop an aircraft for the series? Considering that, I can understand the prices. I can also understand why hard core military flight simmers don't mind spending the money. The modeling of the aircraft systems and aerodynamics seems to be unparalleled and the terrains look fantastic so I think in this case you get what you pay for. Having said all that the development time is very long requiring an equally long term commitment from buyers. Maybe re-mortgage the house to get started? Quote
MigBuster Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 I doubt the market for this is anywhere near big enough for them to survive with much lower prices, and there is no commercial competition anymore I guess. High end moddeling of those aircraft is also a unique selling point. Quote
