Tarnish Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 (edited) Here's a story I'd not heard before. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/stories-43800089 Edited April 18, 2018 by Tarnish Quote
+streakeagle Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 What a horrible story. I could have done without having read that :( Quote
Skyviper Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 That's an interesting story and very sad indeed. I am curious though ... how can one make a phone call from a C-130? Quote

I'm intrigued too for various reasons. Such as how the hell did he pull ... part of it off. And what really happened? Was he shot down or did his lack of skill kill 'em? Maybe he didn't flip enough switches or something ... or maybe he didn't press the flair/chaff button in time. As sad as the story is it certainly is interesting. Quote
+streakeagle Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 There are countless mistakes he could have made that would have sent him down into the water. I doubt he was shot down. There is a happier story about a mechanic that stole an A-4 Skyhawk... and flew it just fine, then landed safely. Quote
