Chugster Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 SO I am re-buying some of the old big box PC games of the 90s and Falcon 4.0 is on that list but I wondered if the manual would still be relevant to BMS? I.e. are the default key binds the same and other stuff like that? Quote
MigBuster Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 No and no need BMS comes with its own massive set of pdf documents. Quote

Oh I know that, but IMO a physical book on your lap/desk is easier to look through than a PDF on a screen somewhere. Its a shame as I remember everyone going on about how good that manual was. Quote
MigBuster Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 For 1998 it was good...............but today it is rubbish compared to what you get now. Best thing to do is get a tablet because it is many times easier to find things quickly with a search function compared to a book. You can also pause and alt tab to it open on your PC if you must. Chugster Posted February 12, 2021 Author Posted February 12, 2021 On a related note, would videos and guides for the DCS F-16 be of use with BMS? There seem to be way more videos for DCS than BMS Quote
MigBuster Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 No and yes and depends (I wouldn't bother) The Eagle Dynamics videos might be of use for some of the procedures cant say about other videos you may be looking at. However there are different systems in each.....and each game environment is very different. DCS only does a USAF Block 50...............BMS on the other hand does a ton of different variants................for example has a different Data Link, data cartridge, an AG radar, different weapons (MITL etc), LANTIRN to name a few things...........the DCS one also is missing a lot of things in a lot of areas currently. 1 Quote
