This keeps happening. I land on the carrier, and its an aircraft I haven't flown recently , and I can't remember if the canopy opens or not. So I flick the switch anyway, and my canopy doesn't open because my aircraft doesn't have that feature after all. But the F-14 next to me in the flight line does have that feature, and it opens its canopy when I flick the switch. Is this Bluetooth, or something?

It's happened to me too when I was on the catapult to take off. I was checking to see if the TW F-14 had any animations too and the Hornets on the deck were operating too via the animation keys.

perhaps because of MaxDeploySpeed= for canopy animation.

After stopping on deck pay attention to your speed, quite possible that it is above the speed limit - while the aircraft parked at the side is 'moving forward sideways' so its speed is 0. The game engine will automatically launch the first animation compatible with your animation key in the first available aircraft.

If you have assigned MaxDeploySpeed= and you will take off then open canopy - your canopy will remain closed but your wingman will have open - until he will reach maxdeployspeed.
