orsin Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Hi, I notice UK carrier based aircraft in SF is constantly set to launch from US carriers. Say Buccaneer is set to launch on Forrestal instead of Ark Royal which is not historically correct. Is there any way to restrict the carrier country an aircraft can be launched from?
+Wrench Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 the reverse is also true; USN off of RN carriers. to the question, "not that Ive ever seen". the game engine (as I understand it) see "carrier based" in the data ini, and uses any allied ship (blue side, red side)
+Gepard Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 (edited) Does not the nation of the carrier depend on the nations.ini of the terrain? IIRC the first nation in the list is the nation of the carrier. EDIT: I was wrong. As long as you has the RoyalNavy as nation in the nations.ini of the terrain, the Bucc should start from deck of the Ark Royal. You should check, wheter the MinimumBaseSize of the plane is on the same level as the CarrierBaseSize of the ship. Edited July 30, 2022 by Gepard
