+BUFF Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Hello all, I found disappointing bug with quantity of fuel (wrong quantity) in default F-105D "Thud" from "Wings over Vietnam" v07.05.05. You can see it on the screen below. Anyone solved this problem? I'm sure that it's been commented on before I think that the F-4 does the same iirc). I can't remember if it's just a disconnect in the .ini so that the guages don't work but you have the fuel or 1 that means that the game doesn't see the fuel. I don't remember ever running out of fuel on an F-105 mission though so I guess the first. Quote

YoYo Posted November 16, 2005 Author Posted November 16, 2005 (edited) YoYo, take a look here : http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1891 ;) LOL It works now! Big THX !!! (still only interior fuel, it adds missing 4th tank, but now is better ;) ) I think The Game see external tanks, only gouges don't work. I suppose here is the problem (from cocpit.ini of F-105): ... Instrument[017]=TankFuelGauge1 Instrument[018]=TankFuelGauge2 Instrument[019]=TankFuelGauge3 ... and ... [TankFuelGauge1] Type=EXTERNAL_FUEL_QUANTITY_INDICATOR NodeName=needle_fuel02 ItemNumber=3 MovementType=ROTATION_Y ValueUnit=LB Set[01].Position=0.0 Set[01].Value=0.0 Set[02].Position=-104.0 Set[02].Value=3000.0 [TankFuelGauge2] Type=EXTERNAL_FUEL_QUANTITY_INDICATOR NodeName=needle_fuel03 ItemNumber=4 MovementType=ROTATION_Y ValueUnit=LB Set[01].Position=0.0 Set[01].Value=0.0 Set[02].Position=104.0 Set[02].Value=3000.0 [TankFuelGauge3] Type=EXTERNAL_FUEL_QUANTITY_INDICATOR NodeName=needle_fuel04 ItemNumber=5 MovementType=ROTATION_Y ValueUnit=LB Set[01].Position=-0.0 Set[01].Value=0.0 Set[02].Position=100.0 Set[02].Value=3000.0 .... And some of my screenies of "Thud": Edited November 16, 2005 by YoYo Quote
+Dave Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Yeah AD's has the D/F/G Thuds and are a must. Quote
+Crusader Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 the problem with the drop tank's is this line : ItemNumber=x the game engine doesnt recongnize the individual tanks. I tested it. you can rem out the line (put a ; or // in front of it) and the needles will show the fuel of all droptanks at once TK is working on it. Quote
Z09SS Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 What directory should these be in? I don't seem to have them in my copy of WOV. Quote
+BUFF Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 What directory should these be in? I don't seem to have them in my copy of WOV. for stock aircraft you will need to extract them from the cat file using the extraction utility in the downloads section. Quote
Z09SS Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 for stock aircraft you will need to extract them from the cat file using the extraction utility in the downloads section. Thanks! I thought it might be something like that, but didn't know for certain. Quote
