Wrench Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 As you've all guessed by now, I've been revamping The Mirage Factory birds for SF2. The 5BA for Belguim is the last of the Mirages still to do. However... for the life of me, I cannot get the RPK10 Kangrou bomb/fuel tank to load. I've updated the "weapon" to SF2 stnadard, double and triple checked everything and not only will it not load and carry the 4 Mk82s, but it don't even show up (as a fuel tank that is. I'm assuming -OH!!! that word!!! -- that the game thinks it's a MER of some type). This IS the BFT that came with the aircraft 'way back when. anybody got any ideas??? I mean, I could alwasy hang a TER on the inboards, or sling 2 bombs on the centerline only (such a waste to ONLY carry 2 into the heart of the enemy ...but whatever) all help is appriciated!! TIA!! 1 Quote
Blade Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 It won't show up as a fuel tank. If everything is set up correctly it appears in the loadout menu as in my screenshot (the number of bombs may differ). Does it appear on the aircraft when you load the mission? Quote
Svetlin Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 (edited) 11 hours ago, Wrench said: This IS the BFT that came with the aircraft 'way back when. I just downloaded TMF Mirage 5BA from the SFP1 downloads section and there is no RPK10 included, neither as a built-in rack (like the stock Mirage 5BA has), nor as a separate weapon. I also checked one of TMF weapons packs and found 2 versions of the RPK10 in it. M3_RPK_C M3_RPK_V As far as I can see, the difference is that the M3_RPK_V has the pylon built-in, whereas the M3_RPK_C does not have a pylon. I made a quick test with the M3_RPK_C and it shows just fine in game on TMF Mirage 5BA without any modification to SF2 standards (just for the test): All I did was: 1. Add SpecificStationCode=RPK10 in the M3_RPK_C_Data.ini file. 2. Edit the weapon stations of the TMF Mirage 5BA as follows: [LeftWingIntStation] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=3 StationGroupID=2 StationType=EXTERNAL AttachmentPosition=-2.155,-1.6,-0.805 AttachmentAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 LoadLimit=1000 AllowedWeaponClass=BOMB,RP,TER,BFT AttachmentType=FRANCE,NATO ModelNodeName=LeftInnerPylone PylonMass=72.58 PylonDragArea=0.02 RackSpecificStationCode=RPK10 [RightWingIntStation] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=4 StationGroupID=2 StationType=EXTERNAL AttachmentPosition=2.155,-1.6,-0.805 AttachmentAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 LoadLimit=1000 AllowedWeaponClass=BOMB,RP,TER,BFT AttachmentType=FRANCE,NATO ModelNodeName=RightInnerPylone PylonMass=72.58 PylonDragArea=0.02 RackSpecificStationCode=RPK10 I used the specific station code entry to make sure I am getting exactly the M3_RPK_C model loaded for the purposes of the test. Please ignore the fact that the RPK10 appears hanging in the air with no pylon. I just made a quick test to make sure the model shows up in the game and did not take care of which weapon station or which RPK10 version (with or without pylon) I was using. Hope the above helps. Wrench Posted April 20, 2024 Author Posted April 20, 2024 M3_RPK_C is the one I'm using. Can't remember which Mriage I got it from. Also added the station specific codes, so it meand that I did something wrong in the conversion Would you mind sending me your working ones?? tanks (and bombs) LOL!!! EDIT: found 4 different ones in the Gunny Pack, the C, & V (venezula) 4 bomb, RPK-2br, and RPK TER. Svetlin Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Here they are. I just deleted the specific station code entry. RPK10.zip 1 Quote
Wrench Posted April 20, 2024 Author Posted April 20, 2024 yeah! that's got it!!! stangely, i had to lower the mounting position, as it was sitting half-way through the wing. Even this location might be a tidge too low, but.... hey! It's working now! Many thanks!! Now, just a few more tweeks, and it'll be ready for it's (re)release next Friday! Thanks again!! 3 Quote
