SF2NA USS California showing up with black texture

Recommended Posts

I just updated my Laptop and upon launching the game, the USS California now shows up with black textures on the superstructure.

When I extracted the cruiser from the CAT file, all the other textures show up fine with the exception of "CGN-36_2.JPG" which shows up as corrupted when opened

Anybody know how to fix this? thank you

delete the file, re extract from CAT

it does say file is corrupted in the screenies you post. the jpg not showing in large icon view is another clue to that and im willing to bet the file size is 0kb or at least much much much smaller than the other jpgs

I have tried doing that, the texture still shows up as corrupted, and the file size shows as 614 kb

I also tried restarting my computer, still same results from before.

new question: what are you doing that requires the jpgs? there are several mods of the CGN-36, but i couldnt find one has any images. they were all ini edits.

if youre not doing something to the images try leaving them out

additional question: what is the nature of your install? full 5 plus 2 merged? Europe or Vietnam only? the $99 all up edition?

I haven't done anything, I didn't modify either the CAT files or the textures

not what have you done, what do you intend to do? if your not going to do anything then it may be best to delete all jpgs from that folder and let teh game read its version. again, all other mods of this ship i've seen were ini edits only

as to version, i cant speak to any CAT unpack issues with that. i got mine in the original form a decade ago plus the DLCs that interested me, and never went for the full up version.

Update: I just installed a new update for my laptop and the USS California textures now show up fine. The textures only showing up as black previously may have been a software bug in my laptop.

Same to me.

I have 5+2 merged version.I think this problem are (probably) after aktualization to my OS to WIN 11.24 (64b).

Before aktualization is all right.

I found in my HDD mods using CGN-36 textures, copying this files to all CGN-36 folders solve this problem.
