That is one heck of a project you got there. It will be great to see it turn into something. You may have to include some user input to help the installer find the necessary files or file structure in which to save them. Good luck and have fun!

I see the duplication in the download logs which is consistent with having to re-download the file. Does the file stop downloading at the start, middle, end, or just anywhere? Do you get any error messages at all?

130ms across the pond and no packet loss. That's an acceptable result. Are you having problems downloading today or what issues are you seeing today?

Stats are a possibility. History might be a little tougher because we'd have to store every download and continue to store them infinitely to make it worth having. This will ultimately end up being millions of records. Currently the download logs are rotated nightly so the maximum days of files we keep is 31 days. This helps to prevent having to store needless data conserving space and db usage. We already track and you already have the ability to "follow" a file which means you'll get a notification in your email or whatever you elect in your notification settings (inline, PM, email) when the file is changed or updated. Nobody is a burden unless they've purposely gone out of their way to be such. Don't worry about being a burden just be yourself.

Dare we ask what you're working on? Sleipnir is really Chrome re-branded. AOL branded browser, I agree. More surprising is anyone still uses AOL for anything. Opera 9 has some new steel under the hood, it's not the nothing everyone thinks it is. File transfers on the internet are affected mostly by packet loss and packet loss is affected greatly by latency. Latency is the number in milliseconds that it takes for your computer to send a packet to our computer, for us to answer back, and for you to receive our answer. The lower the number the faster the route the better the connection. Packet loss is when we send a data packet of information (file transfer, click a button, load a post, etc) and we wait on your machine to answer back you got it, if your machine doesn't answer we assume the packet lost and resend it. These both lead to slow connection speeds or lost connections all together. Yes, having to download a file again because your computer lost connection counts against your daily limit. If you're curious open a command window (command prompt) and ping our site with the following command C:\users\you>ping -n 100 combatace.com Then post your results here. File transfers in PMs don't count against your download limit.

All of the reports I'm pulling are from the last 7 days, I generally don't pull complete histories unless there's a problem I have to address. Since our bandwidth resets each month I generally only care about our aggregate throughput both directions (in/out). So what I've reported for everyone is the last 7 days of activity, just to put things into perspective. You're talking about the ingenuity of mankind. Give it some time and people will figure out a way. They put up more cameras to watch the cameras watching you, someone will figure out how to unwrap the prize without getting caught it's human nature.HAHAHA but yeah this is funny stuff, right funny.

Spinners you have our commitment and have had it for the past 10 years. When the site went down I personally answered all the concerns about subscription accounts. I was very fair with anyone who wrote in about extending their subscription time for the inconvenience. As for the gentlemen PMIK that is having problems downloading, that's a whole story in itself. I will contact him now about that as it seems something isn't quite adding up. PMIK's most recent download summary looks like this (below). No matter how you look at things 3.71GB of transfer is huge, that fact aside it's still 0% of our total transfers amount per month. Ideally handling customer service issues is easier and far less embarrassing when it's done here either through the support forum, via private message, or email as opposed to another site entirely. Ultimately we are here to be a benefit and a strong standing supporter of the community not anything else. Total Transfer for PMIK 3.71GB Percent of all transfers 0% Total Downloads 23 Respectfully; Erik

Now that's funny. Thanks Neil..

I agree. If we need a pack mule why don't we just use a pack mule? Now the robot that can leap buildings that thing is gold.

Did you just call me Duhude? hahaha The technology is terrific. Multi-gimbal / multi-gyro stabilization has come a long way. The AT-AT Walkers best idea yet. The noise obnoxious. At least put a beefy exhaust on the thing.

Here's the thing McLovin. I couldn't stand to listen to that thing for 5 minutes let alone 5 miles. I'll take a pass on this one.
