  1. File Name: DangerZone.zip File Submitter: Saedor File Submitted: 26 Dec 2004 File Category: SF Missions/Campaigns This campaign is a campaign based on the movie "Top Gun", based on David Slavens and Ken Bordeaux's original Top Gun campaign, which you can download at www.avisim.com. With the release of the F-14A, it only seemed logical to put together a campaign based on the move "Top Gun". For this campaign you will need the following files. David Slaven's "Scal" terrain which comes with his Top Gun campaign, which you can get at Avsim. The F-14A Tomcat, which can be obtained from http://www.column5.us Click here to download this file

  3. Yes, it's worth it. However, you will need to update it with both patch 1 and patch 2 to get the best game play. Straight out of the box it IS a bit lacking, but the patches make it a great game. One of the greatest things about it is it's mod-ability. There is a strong SFP1 community on the web that is constantly putting out quality mods, in the form of aircraft skins, new aircraft, new campaigns and new terrain. Personally, I also play IL2 FB-AEP and CFS3, but I still keep coming back to SFP1. It's just plain FUN!
  4. Nice Job! But it looks like a P-47B or P-47C, not a P-47D. The D model had a bubble canopy. Whoops, just double-checked... the bubble canopy didn't become standard until the P-47D-25-E series. Sorry. :)
  5. Wow, I can't wait! I'be been looking forward to the F9F since I watched "The Bridges at Toko-Ri" a couple months ago. :)
  6. The boxed verion comes with a manual and a quick reference card showing the keyboard commands.
  7. I thought the Navy put their name on their planes in big letters to keep them from shooting each other down. :)
  8. Basically a modification of David Slavens and Ken Bordeaux's Top Gun campaign, my Red Flag campaign moves the action from Miramar to Nellis AFB. You fly USAF F-4E's against USAF Aggressor F-5E's (you'll need to download the F-5E seperately). You can find Red Flag at www.avsim.com (I woulda uploaded it here, but there was a 2.0mb limit, and the zip file is over 10mb, as it includes terrain)
  9. I'm still learning how to make terrain, but I've started working on my own Indochina map. I know my final product won't hold a candle to the version being out together by the more experienced modders, but I'm having fun with it anyway. Here's my map so far...
  10. Yeah, I can play it, but some odd things happen. Sometimes the exhaust trails go sideways. And there seems to be an invisible wall preventing Greek planes from apporoching some islands.... weird.
  11. Yay! There's no such thing as too many planes. :)
