Although in production prior to World War II, its combat introduction came at a time when the Netherlands was overrun.     The Bloch MB.130 and its derivatives were a series of French monoplane reconnaissance-bombers developed during the 1930s. They saw some limited action at the beginning of World War II but were obsolete by that time and suffered badly against the Luftwaffe. File Name: Dewoitine D.520 File Submitter: Veltro2k File Submitted: 16 October 2013 File Category: French Origin Dewoitine D.520 Dewoitine D.520 was French fighter aircraft that entered service in early 1940, shortly after the opening of World War II. Unlike the Morane-Saulnier M.S.406, which was at that time the most numerous fighter of the French Air Force, the Dewoitine D.520 came close to being a match for the latest German types, such as the Messerschmitt Bf 109. It was slower than the Bf 109E but superior in manoeuvrability.
