  1. Suchoi Intercept Rafal refueling over Syria

  2. You can be my Wingman anytime. Of course, I will fly the F-5E and give you a run for your money :D
  3. @ironroad Your tale reminds me of this:
  4. 1: Yes, but honestly, taking an already completed one and redesigning is usually your best option to learn. Feel free to use any of mine for that purpose. 2: No. Completely different structure when it comes to creation. A campaign in SF2 is positions at the start of the war. You pretty much place out the toys whereupon the campaign engine will load them and use them as they see fit.
  5. My rig is ready. And my plane too. F-14 vs Viggen Dogfights coming right up :D
  6. The Saab 39 Gripen-C for Strike Fighters is one of the better models out there, especially if you use the The Scandinavian Front version that have realistic high fidelity weapons and updated textures. I would prefer any 3D artists we have to work on planes that do not exist in SF2 rather than try and improve something that honestly does not need to be improved upon.
  7. This thread is to be a summary of all we know about Naval Warfare in SF2 Campaigns. First of all; this post by Wrench is very important. After that, you need to make your map is a NavalMap. Simply add NavalMap=TRUE into your Terrain ini file. Same for the Campaign. It must be NavalCampaign=TRUE. Add this to both the Campaign ini and Campaign Data files. The format for Task Forces is as following: They require their own part; under naval units. Relevant missions for anti-ship is: MissionChance[NAVAL_SEARCH]= MissionChance[NAVAL_ATTACK]= MissionChance[ESCORT_JAMMER]= MissionChance[ESCORT_DECOY]= MissionChance[CRUISE_MISSILE]= MissionChance[EARLY_WARNING]= It is yet not clear if this can be mixed between Naval / Land strikes. Considering the A-7 in the NA Campaign is prone to engage ground targets, I would say they are meant to be mixed. I suppose we have to wait for the patch until we know for certain. Add your own experiences here; contradict me if you feel its appropriate and always work to improve I am currently working to adding Task Forces in TSF. Naval Search is Flyable; but lacks mission text that tells you what to do. If anybody knows how to add such text, I would love to know. Also, the enemy task forces are usually just a single vessel.
  8. *whistles on I saw the Air Force shoot down Santa Claus* Since we now got a Northcape terrain for SF2, I was thinking to make it more of a playground, by adding a campaign. Most of our tools are already set, but I would like some help - I have _never_ made a campaign from scratch. The Battle Area is the Northcape Terrain. Finland and Sweden will be allied against the Soviet Union. So here is how the basic Battle outlines will look: 1956 Campaign - Operation Isbjörn Suits the War in the South (Central Europe) just fine. For this, J-29 Tunnan, J34 Hawker Hunter and maybe a single squadron of A-32A will be avalible to fly. J-28 Vampire (Same with Finlands Vampire) and maybe J-33 Venom are AI Aircraft. Enemies could be the usual bogeymen. 1963 Campaign - Mannerheims Sköld The War in 1962 has continued into 1963. Eager to open a second front and break the stalemate, the Soviet Union attacks Finland. Sweden, realising they are next scrambles to assist the brotherpeople. J34s with Sidewinders, Finnish Fishbeds, A-32, J-32, S-32C, J-35s as flyables. Enemies could be the usual bogeymen. 2012 Campaign - Midwinterdarkness Based on a Swedish book. Will be a mini-campaign with F-21 Luleå, J39 Gripens defending themselfs against Russia. Frogfoot, Backfires, Fencers, Fulcrums and Flankers. This scenario will be more a survival scenario - if you survive for the alloted time, you win. This is just a basic outline as I will have to scramble to other things now. Will return and brainstorm in this topic.

  10. The Scandinavian Front 2: Final Release

Download ALL THE FILES into THE SAME FOLDER and Unzip TSF2_Final from TSF2_FinalPack.7z.001. You need 7z or Winrar to do this.
  11. Before anybody asks; yes we are working to adapt TSF to this map. Right now, they are however NOT compatible with the Campaigns. Single Mission will work fine.

  13. View File TSF Saab 37 Viggen(*) Flygvapnet Package Saab 37 Viggen(*) by The Scandinavian Front & Friends. The Saab 37 Viggen ("Thunderbolt", ambiguous with "Tufted duck") is a Swedish single-seat, single-engine, short-medium range combat aircraft, manufactured between 1970 and 1990. Several distinctive variants were produced to perform the roles of strike fighter (AJ37), maritime patrol aircraft (SH 37) and all-weather fighter-interceptor aircraft (JA 37). In the late 1990s, all Viggens was updated to the multirole version (AJS 37). The last flight with the Viggen (AJS 37, AJSH & SK 37E Jammers) was done in 2005 with all airplanes replaced by the Saab 39 Gripen. This package contains Four Flyable and One AI Aircraft Saab AJ 37 Viggen Attack version with limited fighter capacity. In service between 1971 and 1998. This aircraft carried the now-famous splinter camo that is the dread of skinners and model makers worldwide. Saab JA 37 Viggen Fighter version introduced in 1980 with new engine, entirely different avionics and an internal gun. Stayed in service until 2004 when it was replaced with the Saab 39 Gripen. Saab JA 37D Viggen Upgraded JA 37 with RB 99 Amraam capacity introduced in 1997. All was taken out of service in 2004. Saab AJS 37 Viggen The last and most capable version with lessions learned from the JAS 39 Program. 48 Viggens was updated to this standard and they stayed in service from 1991 to 2005. Saab SH 37 Viggen (AI Only) Maritime Patrol Version with potent attack capacity against maritime targets. In Service from 1975 to 1996. INSTALLATION: Download this package and unzip into a folder of your choice, preferably one easy to access. Visit the DAT site and download their Viggen package. You will only need the Cockpit folder as well as the LOD and OUT files. The airplane will not work without them. Move the Cockpit Folder and the LOD and OUT files from the DAT package into this unextracted package - Viggen R3 goes into the JA 37 and AJS 37 Folders; Viggen R1 into the AJ 37 and SH 37 Folders. Copy the package into your Mod Folder. Have fun. 14. At some point I will have to learn to fly in DCS...
  15. Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for!
  16. Straight to the point: I have aircraft who launch their cruise missiles flying very high and too late. No adjustments I make in the aircraft seems to fix this. I want them to fly low and launch. Anybody know if there is a way to put that into the flight model? On the same score, my Soviet AWAC planes are flying really low. I would like them to fly very high. Any idea on how to change that?
  17. Thank you! Is that for Cruise Missiles as well? Or just bombs?
  18. Both aircraft are already toggled in those roles.
  19. Possible Meteor breakup over Detroit.

Imagine if that would have gone off over Hawaii right after the fake missile warning :D

  21. Actually, the pit was a mistake. There was never our intention to use that pit - I forgot to take that extra look because I rushed the release :D Currently busy looking into alternatives as well as finding a suitable pit for the Viggen Pack so we can get that one out the door. Also because I like having fun with some older stuff...
  22. @dsawan Go into Terrains/Sweden. Go into Sweden.ini Delete the line: NavalMap=TRUE Save file. It should work now. This is on me. I forgot I needed to remove that part for the "if you do not have SF2:NA" part. I will fix it with Patch 2.
  23. Patch 1 is uploaded. I will not be updating the main package, instead I will add patches and update the file that way. - Terrain Bug Fixes by @Menrva added. - Helikopter 1 (AI Only) by @yakarov79 added - Added due credit for Nordic Airliners by @daddyairplanes, @Veltro2k & @Marcfighter - Fixed missing start text in Gjallarhorn Campaign - Fixed SK60 Loadouts for non-European systems - Fixed missing skin for SH 37 - Fixed Riga / Sovremenny Black Ships.
