  1. after a very long and painfull night i desidet to go back to my windows 7 , i may not have an antivirus for now but my SF2 is working and i can fly on all my terrains without getting a CTD or flying in a cockpit without textures

the loading time for SF2 is reduced by over 50% under windows 7 , NO CTD , and i can fly on all terrains that i have installed regardless what aircraft i choose , i´m not going back to windows 10 any time soon that is for sure , i rather quit modding

maybe i need a new hardware for this more moddern windows versions , i own a windows 11 but can not installe it on my current hardware , for the new hardware i have to spend around 1600 euro something that i dont have and i´m not willing to spend right now especially isince i dont know if SF2 will run without any problems

so for now i´m the old guy on windows 7 and i´m HAPPY with it , i´m back to modding now  :grandpa:

  2. i set i t now to compatibility mode windows 7 and yes i can fly again , not in all terrains but most of them  :yahoo:

i would like to improve this further , so i will look in to all this suggestions of you and hopefully find a way to get it working like it was under windows 7

    THANK YOU

What antivirus software? You can always add the game to the antivirus software's safe list; that way, it will ignore it and run without the antivirus software intervening.

i try several all with the same result , stopping most of my programs from working this started about 8 weeks ago

  4. i was forced to give up my windows 7  , i had no more antivirus protection and if i installed any antivirus software some of my programs including SF2 was no longer working , the antivirus software  considered them as a threat

so i´m now on windows 10 pro 64 bit , and i got a big surprise when i launched my SF2 again , the first loading time is almost twice as long as with windows 7 and terrains i had no problem with are now a nightmare the game is loading up to 80% and than i got a CTD

i´m using a I7-4790K CPU with 4x4.00 GHz , 32GB RAM and a RTX 3060 with 12GB  that was always ok and i had no problems with them why i´m no encountering this problems with windows 10 , is windows 10 a downgrade to windows 7 ???

do i need to make some changes on some settings or how can i solve this ???

    any help is welcome

I sound like such a goober saying this lmao, but does anyone know how to give a radar the ability to actually acquire targets? Making a modernized F-111 (built on Fastcargo's F-111G) for myself and I have everything except the ARH capability, I can load the missiles, and the radar does search for targets and all, but when I press the keys to acquire targets, nothing happens, thus making the AMRAAMs all duds (which is counterintuitive)

did you change or modify the Avionics.ini , the F-111 Avionics.ini will not help you with air to air targets

Just a thought....the rear end of those bays have something called "Flipper Doors" that close to create a smooth ramp type area to smooth the airflow when the wells are empty or as soon as the missile has been fired......just to complicate matters even more..🫡

since when are you able to read my mind ???    i would have added them already if i only know how to animate them , you have any idea ???

  7. something that really anoid me from the beginning with the SF2  F-4`s was that the front missile well´s are wrong ( to short ) , with the AIM-7 Sparrow loaded in the front missile wells there was allways the problem that the missiles wings colliding with the splitter plate and the missle rear sticking in the lower fuselage

with the AIM-7 Sparrow made by me ( correct dimensions something TW has a problem with ) i solved the issue with the splitter plate bud the missile rear still collided with the fuselage like on the picture belowimg00001.thumb.jpg.06402bfe91356bec188b331a6d905224.jpg

the only solution to this problem was to extend the missile well to the rear in to the lower left and lower right fuselage objects , and i had to change the templates for the skin 2 , 3 and 5 ( left wing , right wing , front fuselage ) after all that work the missile is now perfect in the missile well , no collisions anymore , just have to check how it works with the AIM-120 for the F-4F_ICE

the changes / extention to the rear are not much in size but has an impact on the overall apearance

problems like this take so much time to fix and are a pain in the a... , hope it is worth all the work

  8. on the F-15E i have you only can load up to 6 GBU-12D and by looking on the pylons and considering the lenght of the GBU-12D i think it is not possible to carry12 GBU-12D without sticking them in to each other

    just my 2 cents

although i would like to see a picture of a real F-15E with 12GBU-12D

I personally fly Soviet/Russian Planes the most, and honestly, it can be unplayable at times. Not everyone plays NATO, and Red missiles are SO underpowered. Even the weapon modders underpower Red Weapons while buffing US Missiles. I went to edit the weapons to make it fair and saw US missiles at Practically max stats. Like, what do you mean an AIM-120C-3 can pull 50Gs?!

you know checkin the internet some times helps , this is what the net says about the max g-load for the AIM-120C , it is not 50 Gs but 40 Gs by the way modern A-A missiles can reach up to 60 Gs and more like the IRIS-T

    • Max G-Load: The AIM-120C is widely reported to pull up to 40 Gs.
    • Performance Context: While 40G is the structural/system limit, the missile achieves maximum maneuverability at high speeds (approaching Mach 4).
    • Comparison: Earlier models like the AIM-120A/B are typically rated around 35 Gs, while the C-series improved upon this, even with "clipped" wings for internal storage

  10. i dont know if this will solve the problem but if you open the NATIONS.ini you most likley will find this

PilotTrainingStandard=EXCELLENT vs  PilotTrainingStandard=NORMAL , dont know if it helps to set everything to normal so everybody is on the same skill level but maybe worth trying

As a Chinese person, it's hard to imagine someone other than a basketball player being 1.96 meters tall. I'm only 1.72 meters tall and weigh 65 kilograms. I remember once seeing a very tall Dutchman in a sleeper car on a Chinese train. The sleeper berth was clearly unsuitable for his height; when he lay down, his legs were sticking out of the berth and into the aisle.

you should see me when i´m in the Philippines , i feel like i'm a giant there and the beds are always too short for me , so i use a king size bed and lay down diagonal so i fit in the bed

Hey @ravenclaw_007, I'm curious about the "pitch control unit" in the cockpit of your F-4F. What's its purpose and function other than the obvious from its name? I don't see it in any other of your F-4 cockpits I believe...

here are some of the limits for pilots when riding the F-4F Phantom , it is not only the weight but also some pilot measurements especially the length of the legs and the thigh length

by turning the knob on the ejection seat pitch control unit you select your weight and in the same time you adjust the rocket pack under the seat for an ideal ejection based on your weight

    from the F-4F Flight Manual

f you talking the one showing the 200 that is the weight of the pilot in lbs to get an optimized ejection and yes there was a limit for the weight of the pilots as far as i remeber it is about 99 kg or 218,258 lbs

you find this feature mostly on european Martin Baker seats

you know europeans are taller and a bit heavier than americans

thats why i always have the feeling that the rides in disneyland and universal studios are made for dwarves in most rides i dont fit in , i´m 1,96 meter ( 6.4 ft ) tall and dont ask my weight right now  i only can say that i´m not allowed for this ejection seat
