Well, I am definitely not an expert, but they seem to fly fine to me. No glaring problems. I was finally able to download the carrier addon file from fsplanet. Works great!!!! Now launch the Hummer! NC

I'm for it! Navychief

Hey Seawolf The new FD version does not include the A-7, but no matter. If you want to use a different aircraft, you simply wait until the canned flight loads, then hit ALT, AIRCRAFT, and select a different plane. Works fine. I also found some additional Aircraft Carrier addon scenery from FS2002, but it loaded fine into FS9, and works fine. Alejandro Villa has a new FS9 Aircraft Carrier scenery addon posted on FS Planet, but I have not been able to download it yet. I spoke to the Support folks at Abacus. They plan to issue a update soon to FD3, making it possible to locate aircraft carriers in places other than the canned flights. Navychief GO NAVY!

Took some screenshots today. Thought everyone would like to see how Flight Deck 3 looks in FS2004. Btw, the aircaft pictured is not one that comes with FD3. I downloaded it from AVSIM. Navychief GO Navair!

I agree, Firehawkordy, Ronald Reagan brought back a sense of pride to this country that had been missing. I wanted so much to have his signature on my retirement certificate, but unfortunately, it was Comrade Clinton who's name ended up on it, as I retired in '97. That certificate (which is given to all retiring military members) thanked me for my service. I destroyed it, by the way. There was no way I wanted a reminder that Clinton was, at one time, my Commander In Chief. Navychief

NAS Cecil Field; now that place held a lot of memories for me. Too bad it is but a mere shell of its former greatness now. FedEx has a hub there, and the local ANG has a facility there too. Boeing has a rework facility for Hornets there also. But all the barracks are gone. No more chow hall. The medical clinic is still there, but eerily empty. My wife and I drove around the base this past June. It was sad to see entire buildings gone, and the ones still standing are either in the process of being demolished, or in a rapid state of disrepair. go see the base at: http://www.ghostbase.org/cecil/ Navychief

Before I begin explaining the problem, I KNOW I should have made a backup file, but I didn't. That having been said, here is the problem. I tried adding a file to the Beechcraft KingAir 350 but I messed things up. Is there a way to reinstall that aircraft without doing a complete uninstall/reinstall? I got frustrated and deleted that aircraft's directory, so I need the complete file. I know the files are on disc 1, but not sure which ones I need. Please, anyone! Navychief

The addon for FS2004, (Flight Deck 3) does add some of the features you mentioned, Seawolf. I know absolutely nothing about programming, but it would surely be interesting if the features you mentioned could be incorporated into SFP1. If it can be done for FS2004, why couldn't it be done with SFP1? Navychief

Fixed. Thanks, C5! NC

Everything was going ok. I downloaded the A-7A/B file and installed just fine. Flew it a few minutes, and then went back to install the tanks. I had never used the Weapons Editor program before, so I was somewhat apprehensive about that. Should have left well alone. I finally figured out how to open the file into the Weapons Editor Program. I chose SaveAs, instead of Save, and that is probably where I screwed up. Went to start the sim, and it CTD. Error message said there was a problem with the missileobject.dll file. I tried removing the missileobject.dll file. The sim started, but as soon as I clicked on choosing a mission, it CTD again. I am at a loss at what to do. I REALLY do not want to do an uninstall. Pain in the you know what. I have things set the way I want them. Is there a fix for my screwup, other than a total uninstall? Please HELP! Navychief

Hey folks I have been so busy lately, that it seems all I get a chance to do is review the forum posts and reply to some of them, briefly. My wife and I have a pet adoption/rescue, and it has really kept us going. I look forward to having some time to fly soon. With the addition of the almighty SLUF, maybe get in some bombing practice, eh? Hey, I have a question for y'all. How come, when I select a certain squadron's skin, that all the other aircraft taking off in my group do not have the same skin? Is there a way to do this? I just think it is weird to be the only aircraft in a flight formation, with the same skin. Navychief

A-7a/b To Be Released This Friday
navychief replied to navychief's topic in Mods/Skinning Discussion
Sorry. I spend more time reading the forum than anything else. NC -
According to a post made today by Armourdave, the SLUF will make its formal debut into SFP1 this coming Friday! Oh yeah, now we're talking! I have a special love for this aircraft, after working on them for so many years. Long live the Corsair; even if only in a sim! Lots of memories, my friends, and this is one beautiful aircraft, to be sure! Armourdave, C5, and everyone else involved in the development of this wonderful addon......Thank you. Navychief

The last helo ride I had was in a H-53 which took me from the deck of the Saratoga. Noisy, and vibrated like hell. NC

Sorry! I didn't know Lama1 was looking for a specific T-37 model. I visited the site myself. Most impressive work, but not sure I want to shell out the money for it. I will be satisfied to become efficient at doing carrier landings with FD3! NC

You can get it FREE at: http://www.aircraftdesignstudios.com/t37.htm Enjoy. Navychief
