You can get an evaluation copy of 3DMax from the software maker. Before investing over a $1000 it worth the try ... I have it and used it to do rendering of car models , but modeling 3D objects is something I haven't tried yet , but it seems very complex, I would be willing to try cockpit modeling but would need a coach to start the basic ...

Stupid questions but how do you fire these missiles ??? I select the missile , i have radar on search mode , i select a target but it don't fire ...

It is nice to see lot of pics with different airplanes from lomac but which one can we actually fly ??? So far I can fly only A-10, F-15, Mig29, SU33 and SU27. Is there more airplanes out there that are flyable ???

Would be cool if the sim gave us the same feeling ... Can you fly like this ? Another kind of F-1.

Korat is on the DRV terrain map , i should have been able to go there !!! Or is it the limit around the flight plan route ?

I tried to make a recon flight to see Korat Airfield in the DRV terrain. I used create mission in the game menu and was put at Phu Bai for take-off. My mission objective was to recon in the Hanoi area , because i can't choose the target ... So after i took off i flew to a heading of 270* toward Korat but at halfway i noticed my plane was not moving forward anymore and was dragging sideways !!! Like the plane was attached with a big steel cable somewhere and i would just lay there unable to go forward even with the afterburners ... Is there a limit where you can go in a given mission ???? I want to see Korat from the air !!!

The new threat is Terrorism , with all the hightech gadgets BenLaden still can't be found ! What is good if a satellitte can read a newspaper from above but stil can't find a person ? The aircraft from the fifties are still good to do the job today against that type of treat. Conventional wars are things of the past. Now it is how to find the enemy between your neighbors and don't get blown off by a kamikase. F-22's are not much useful for that !!

I hope they build the model with landing gears !!!

You got it right . See the pic taken in the '80s at Toronto airshow. The skins could need some upgrades to add the formation light strips and other minors details , i will get on it soon !!! Note that a lot of CF-5's never worn their squadron colors .... like these 2 with the nose camera. :) Another thing to modify but i didnt succeed so far was to change the numbers on the tail. All CF-5 numbers start by 166 followed by 3 numbers in the 700 or 800 for CF-5D's. Like all CF-188 starts by 188XXX .....

I prefer this sim to Lomac anyway !!!

Fine looking airplanes !! The 433rd is the Porcupine Squadron and the 434th the Blue Nose Squadron (name of the boat). I have to get those skins. I worked on these babies at Canadair in the 80's and also at Bagotville and Cold Lake. One of my favorite fighter plane, small , fast and manoeuvrable. :)

How do you build a mission where you can choose where you take off from and which target you want to attack and the number of planes involved. I think it's impossible to choose your enemy defense airplanes. Let say i want to take off from Korat and bomb some bridges in Hanoi . In the game it won't let you choose your take off airport and won't let you choose your target ...

It got no pilots !!! What's the point in a sim if you can't fly it or shoot it down !! If it is only like an object on the ground like mobil launchers , then yes it could be good for a target ..

Is there any relation between SF, WOV, WOE toward LOCK-ON ?? I first thought that WOE cold war gone hot was an updated Lock-on ....

Got it in the Cold War add-on section of SF. WOV !! Saganuay , from near Bagotville ?? Was 433th Porc Epic F-5 tech. ;)
